Asian manufacturer (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.) that makes IPhones chip disrupted their operations this weekend due to a computer virus.
"A virus outbreak Friday evening affected a number of computer systems and fab tools at its facilities in Taiwan" said by the company.
A type of "WannaCry" ransomware interrupted computer systems at TSMC after without a virus scan, supplier installed software to the company's computer network. The virus caused machines to crash and continually reboot and currently facing shear losses.
“The production delays should be negligible, although with Apple being TSMC’s largest customer, the timing of the incident could interfere with [its] fall line-up refresh,” said Barry of Gap Intelligence.
TMSC explains that about 80% of of the company's tool are affected by the bad software were recovered by Sunday . It is expected that it will full recovery was expected by Monday(today)...

Now there is going to be delay in next iPhone because the same company is manufacturing next generation bionic chip A12 that is expected to be launch with upcoming iPhone .The Cupertino-headquartered company is expected to launch 3 new iPhone models in 2018.
